The Revolution Will Not Be Well-Advised

AE on November 14, 2009 in Fiction

When the revolution comes, the first against the wall won’t be the lawyers, or the politicians, or the intellectuals, or the priests. It won’t be the poets or the dreamers, the industrialists or the capitalists, the socialists or the redistributors. It won’t be those whose families have walked the halls of power for generations and it won’t be those who have been hammering at the gates to be let in.

No, when the revolution comes, the first against the wall will be little notices, letting everyone know what time the revolution starts and who they need to contact if they want to sign up for the various revolutionary committees.

And after that will come motivational posters.
